Tips for using payment cards abroad

  • Paying with a card at the till is cheaper than withdrawing cash. Most cards are free of charge.
  • Always check the receipt. Keep it until you receive your monthly bank statement.
  • If you absolutely have to withdraw cash, use a debit card rather than a credit card because of the lower fees.
  • Please note that there are daily limits for payments at POS terminals and ATMs.
