Final Beneficiaries

  • Financing of small and medium projects implemented by small and medium enterprises and mid-cap enterprises, including the financing of “the projects for young people from the West Balkans”;
  • Financing of limited volume investment projects which are promoted by the Final Beneficiaries of any size (except small and medium enterprises) in the fields of economy, knowledge, energy, environment, health and education ("priority projects").

 

Working Capital needs

Purpose: Increase of value of working capital. Financing can include: funds necessary for the payment of raw materials and other product assets, inventory and general costs, means for financing of claims from buyers and claims which occurred based on the sales of the goods which does not belong to wide consumption.

 

Investments

Purpose: Funds intended for the purchase, renovation or expansion of material property (“except land”); purchase of patents and licenses when these are necessary for technical implementation of projects, as well as the investment in immaterial purchase (financing of development, planning and financing costs during the phase of construction of material property, research and development, i.e. financing of construction of distribution network at the domestic market).

More favorable conditions of European Investment Bank mean that the Final Beneficiary of the loan will have financial advantage under the lower interest rate of at least 50 base points (80 base points for the projects which support the employment of young people) in relation to annual interest rate which the Bank would calculate for such loan without the participation of EIB.

 

Priority projects

 

General terms of the project eligibility:

·         The project must include investments in the field of: mitigation of climate changes, social and industrial infrastructure, including renewable energy, health and educational infrastructure, development of local private sector and improvement of approach to financial funds for SME and micros;

·         The project must be economically, technically and financially justified;

·         The project cannot be based on the activities of regular repair and maintenance;

·         The project must be executed in the period of up to 4 years;

·         The project must be individually recognizable in terms of location, plan, use...;

·         It is necessary to ensure all permits from the competent authorities;

·         The project must be individually and technically and economically sustainable.
 

 

West Balkans Youth Project (ZM)

Small and medium enterprises as well as STK, as Final Beneficiaries, can be classified for financing of projects for young people of the West Balkans, if they meet at least one of the following two criteria:

Final Beneficiary certifies that in the last 6 months, he/she employed and still employs at least one young person from the register of the National Employment Service, two persons for medium enterprises and five persons for STK. Liability of the beneficiary is to keep the persons employed for at least two years.

In the last 6 months, the Final Beneficiary ensures professional education or practice for at least 2 young persons without the prior working experience, 4 persons for medium enterprises and 10 persons for STK. The training, i.e. practice lasts at least 6 months, and is formalized by the valid agreement on cooperation.
